IT'S OFFICIAL...I'M GETTING MARRIED.

OK yes, I've been engaged for almost 4 months now, but something happened last night that made it official.

I had THE dream.  You know, the dream that haunts all brides-to-be.  Yes, the (gasp!) "my wedding is ruined!" dream.

Although this dream may manifest itself in different ways, they all have the same basic storyline.  It's finally your wedding day and it's beautiful outside.  Your hair and makeup are perfect, the flowers are gorgeous and your family and friends are having a wonderful time.  All is well in the world...until you suddenly realize that...

a.  you are wearing the wrong dress!

b.  you don't have shoes!

My answer?  D.

My dress shopping experience was definitely an unforgettable one.  It went from exciting and fun to overwhelming and full of anxiety in a mere 3 months.  Although I thought that finally deciding on and buying a beautiful gown would release all those pesky anxieties, I guess some of those suckers decided to stick around.

It wasn't all so terrible though.  Overall, I did enjoy the experience, and learned a heck of a lot about wedding gowns in the process.  

Now that I think about it, I've learned a lot in these past 4 months.  Not only about wedding gowns and the wedding industry, but also a lot about myself and the FI (to be aptly named Mr. Groom).  It took a crazy dream to make me realize that the next 7 months we spend planning and preparing our special day will also be a great learning and growing opportunity for us.  Let's see what will unfold...
