FULL CIRCLE.

Remember those SAT analogies we all despised back in high school? Yeah, I blocked them out of my memory too. C'mon, let's try one together...

Miss Latte : Mr. Latte ::

(A) East : West
(B) Lunch : Breakfast
(C) Bed Time : Video Game Time
(D) All of the Above

Answer: D.

Get it??? This shouldn't be hard...refer to my previous post for a clue. OK fine, I work in education so to be fair, here's a bigger clue for you visual folks.

(A card I made Mr. Latte early in our relationship)

Ding Ding Ding!!! Mr. Latte and I live on opposite coasts. I live out East, where there are 4 seasons, blizzards and buildings made out of brick. Mr. Latte lives in the land of palm trees, avocados and earthquakes. So how did 2 people with more than 3,000 miles between them meet?

At a wedding! How appropriate, huh?

We met at the wedding of 2 mutual friends, and although we both tell varying versions of the same story, my version is correct so here it is in it's condensed form. :)

It all started at the rehearsal. I was just there to watch and help out the bride if she needed it, and Mr. Latte was an usher. He was late to the rehearsal, but came strolling in as if the partay was for him. And because I can't just sit back and watch ANYTHING, I got up and started barking out orders. I thought he was irresponsible, and he thought I was bossy. We did interact a little that weekend, but it was strictly business.

After the wedding, an email that went out to the guests somehow dwindled down to become a thread just between us, the Lattes. What started out as innocent emails full of links to pictures and conversations about music and movies soon turned into LONG emails that, I'll admit, had me clicking the refresh button in my inbox every other second. These emails turned into IM chats, which evolved into loooong phone conversations (isn't that the most exciting part?!?), and eventually to lots of red-eye flights and frequent flyer miles. Whew!

Almost 3 years after that wedding, we're planning our own. Still from opposite coasts, but with a lot more experience and understanding. I know now that Mr. Latte is the opposite of irresponsible and he knows that yes, I can be bossy. At times. Just a little bit. But only when I have to.

Anyone else meet their significant other at a wedding?
