SAY CHEESE, PART 2

In Part 1, you met our fabulous photographer, Todd Laffler. Now you shall meet Todd's camera meeting the Lattes. Follow that?

We scheduled our engagement pictures during Mr. Latte's spring break so we prayed and hoped for good weather as we couldn't postpone or reschedule. The forecast? Rain, of course! So our tentative plan of taking pictures in Central Park were ruined and we needed an alternative indoor location. Todd suggested Grand Central Station and we happily agreed.

We had so much fun taking our engagement pictures with him! Yes, it was a dreary day in NYC. And yes, the traffic getting into the city was so not fun. But once we got inside and out of the rain, the fun officially began. We did a lot of standing, laughing, smiling, posing and (eeew) kissing. Here are some of my faves:

We tried to go in and take pictures with the trains but were kicked outta there real fast. Apparently, pictures aren't allowed in the station and the train security lady warned us that Todd's camera could be confiscated. Yikes!

Ahhh, the phone. Every long-distance couple's favorite form of communication. Thank you, Alexander Graham Bell, for keeping the Latte relationship alive. I'm so happy we got this shot to remind us of our humble beginnings. :)

(Side note: I really wanted to wipe down the phone before putting it up to my face, but I didn't see any Purell nearby. Oh, the sacrifices one must make...)

This incredibly flattering shot of me going to town on a hot dog is Mr. Latte's favorite. That half-eaten slice of pizza was delicious. Yup, I ate it up that day...and Todd documented all of it.

The rain finally cleared up so we closed up shop and moved outside. I love this shot with the cab.

Finally, my favorite "pose" of the day. If you could zoom in, you would see that the look on my face is one of pure bliss. Mr. Latte twirled me around and around so fast (and for so long) that he felt dizzy when he put me down. Weak! I told him that he should practice every night to build up his endurance because I will be expecting a twirl every night when we're married. :)

Todd did an amazing job of capturing US in our photos. I look at them and see our natural selves...from my crazy evil laugh to Mr. Latte's big smile, he got it all. I'm so excited to have him snap snap snapping away at our wedding!

You can check out some more Latte action on his blog. I can't wait to see the rest of them!!! Todd was nice enough to get some of our pictures up before he jetted off to Cyprus to shoot a wedding. He's a busy man, that Todd. He must've known that I had been stalking his blog every hour on the hour since our shoot. Heh heh.

Do your engagement pictures capture YOU? Tell us how!
