(looking left...looking right...rubbing eyes...blink, blink)
Is this for real? Am I really here? As a bee? WOW!
I'm super excited and honored to join the hive! When I received the news, I was at work and screamed so loudly that everyone ran over to make sure I was OK. Is a grown woman sitting in front of a computer screen with her hands covering her face, laughing and crying simultaneously "OK"??? Oh, hecks yeah she is!
I've been an avid Weddingbee reader since waaay before I even met Mr. Latte so my "wedding idea notebook" is full of great tips and pieces of advice from the bees. I hope that my experiences will give you as much inspiration and as many creative ideas as I've received from them!
Let me start by introducing us...the Lattes. I live in Boston, Mr. Latte lives in the Bay Area and we've been in a long distance relationship since the very beginning. For over 2 years, we've endured red-eye flights, a 3-hour time difference and messed up sleep schedules as we've committed to each other and our relationship. Thank goodness for JetBlue (our carrier of choice) and unlimited in-network cell phone minutes (a necessity!). Although being in a long distance relationship is difficult, we think that it has allowed us to become well-balanced individuals better prepared to come together as a married couple. :)
Which brings me to the good stuff...our big day! On top of the fact that we're long distance, we're getting married in NYC! Planning a wedding from out-of-town has already proven to be quite a challenge, as we've had to cram a lot of wedding planning and "us" time into our short trips together. But if 3,000 miles can't get in the way of the Lattes, what's a couple of vendors gonna do?!?
Why Miss Latte? Simple...I am a coffee addict. I can't function without it. My mouth loses its ability to smile until I've had my morning cup (OK fine, 2 cups!), and if I (god-forbid) forget, my head starts to pound and it's game over. Mr. Latte despises this addiction and THINKS that once we're married, I'm going to quit. But now that "Latte" is officially a part of my name, he's got nothing.
Here's a picture of me feeding my addiction:

Well hive, I'm looking forward to our upcoming months together! Cheers!
